Hancock - Impressive but falls short

Sony pictures present - Hancock

Cast: Will Smith, Charlize Teron etc.

Storyline: (Fundamental weakness of the movie)

A superhero, Hancock is a good natured being but just has not been in the best of moods off late. He is ridiculed and detested by the Los Angeles public as a nuisance and a hazard to their daily livelihood. How the Superhuman Godly Angelic Human being like person comes to accept reality of who HE is and what he's been doing all this while, is the story. It is worth a watch but please do not go in the expectations of watching a comedy movie with a lot of sense in it, although no one does that, I find it appropriate as a consequence of some previous works.
Impressive as always Ms. Charlize Theron, is as hot as always and does not fail to impress me again as always. She is truly the thinking man's diva... and I consider myself a truly Thinking Man...lol...

My personal marking: 5.5 / 10

Wanted

Wanted (2008)

Cast: Impressive casting done by the p'cers and d'tor(s)...
James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie etc...

Genre: Action/Thriller

Synopsis:
The movie is based on a historic (fictional) theme of Ancient Weavers forming a clan of Assassins. It starts off in a rush where one person is killed by another after being setup and is shot dead from behind by a person who is miles away sitting at his home. James McAvoy (Wesley) is a simple and slow accounts manager who hates his life and suffers from anxiety strokes. He seems to rely on medication every time he has a panic attack.
Morgan Freeman (Sloan) saves his from being killed in the initial scenes of the movie and takes him back and trains him after making him to believe that he is a lot more than he thinks... what happens after being trained is the best part of the movie. The movie has amazing action sequences and heart pumping imaginative work by the CG people. Although some scenes seem too unrealistic, they are nevertheless fun to watch, which is what we go to the cinemas anyway.

I'd gladly give this movie 7/10

Goods:
- casting is amazing especially A. Jolie scorching the screen,
- action sequences and dialogues pretty well spun/weaved,

Bads:
- unrealistic action sequences although heart pumping,
- theme seems kinda funny to think Weavers becoming assassins,

P.S. - Must watch for every jobless soul on the planet and also for those who love action sequences and adrenalin rushes... loads of scenes where the camera catches events that only light can pick up... if U know what I mean...

Harold and Kumar -2; Escape from Guantanamo Bay...

Harold & Kumar-2; Escape from Guantanamo Bay

John Cho and Kal Penn make a good couple, as friends I should stress. The first part ends with Harold (John Cho) expresses his interest in this girl whom he's been wanting to date for a long time. She tells him that she's gonna be gone for 10days to Amsterdam and that she's gonna be back looking forward to a whole new beginning with him once she comes. But Kumar being a drug obsessed(but not addict) can not see this opportunity to let go by.
So He convinces Harold into going to Amsterdam and enjoy the fun of 'Heaven on Earth'... Well this at least this is what they seemed to have planned. What happens to them when they try leaving is where all the fun begins.

Snippets:
-----------
Positives:
- Harold & Kumar still seem to share the same chemistry
- Fun element is spread throughout the movie and not only some parts of the movie
- There's sensible romance along the line - 2 of them to make things better

Negatives:
- There are a couple of obscene scenes that U'd might wanna be ready for
- Some senseless comedy scenes could have been edited although it wouldn't have made any sense cause people just keep laughing at almost everything these days...

Overall rating - 6.5/10
